Fed: Swan says opposition reckless abnd irresponsible

Treasurer WAYNE SWAN has accused the opposition of preferring to see Australia fail
.. than the Rudd government succeed in moves to counter the global financial crisis.

The coalition has threatened to block budget bills that include a third round of stimulus
measures .. they judge to be wasteful.

Mr SWAN has told ABC Radio the opposition is being completely irresponsible and reckless
.. and hasn't offered any positive solutions.

Meantime the treasurer has refused to comment on the Rudd government's second budget
to be unveiled on May 12 .. he says they're constantly evaluating how the global financial
crisis is hitting the Australian economy.
