MELBOURNE, Aug 16 AAP - Conditions on Victoria's snowfields today:

MT HOTHAM: Good firm-packed snow cover softening later for skiing and boarding in all
open terrain. Snow depth: 78cm. Wind: moderate NW. Overnight temp: 0C

FALLS CREEK: Good melt freeze affected snow cover softening later in the day for skiing
and boarding. Fifteen lifts open. Snow depth: 83cm. Wind: strong NNW. Overnight temp:
-1.1C.

MT BULLER: Good packed then softening snow cover for skiing and boarding with extensive
grooming on all open areas. Seventeen lifts open. Snow depth: 65cm. Winds: strong N. Overnight
temp: 2.2C

MT BAW BAW: Poor to fair skiing and boarding on a groomed soft snow cover in limited
areas. Three lifts open. Wind: moderate NNE. Snow depth: 8cm. Overnight temp: 4.8C.

LAKE MOUNTAIN: Insufficient snow for cross-country skiing. Poor tobogganing and snowplay
on a soft snow cover on the village toboggan run only. Overnight temp: 6.3C. Snow depth:
0cm. Wind: moderate/strong N.

MT BUFFALO: Patchy sightseeing snow and snowplay. Snow depth: patchy.

DINNER PLAIN: Sightseeing snow and snowplay. Poor cross-country skiing around village.

One lift open.

MT STIRLING: No skiable snow lower trails. Snow depth: 20cm.

MT ST GWINEAR: Fair cross-country on soft snow on the main trail. Poor to fair coverage
elsewhere. Snow depth: 8cm.

MT DONNA BUANG: No snow.
