ST. GEORGE'S, Grenada The last time I came to Grenada, there wasno water or electricity or telephone for most of the day. Now thoseservices fail only occasionally. Three years ago, one had to trustthe lying schedules of LIAT, the most perfidious airline in theCaribbean. This time, "Biwi," as the British West Indies line iscalled, brings its big plane in on time.
That is because the airline has a long strip to land on. Theshort strip I had landed on earlier is at Pearls, separated from thecapital, St. George's, by an intervening extinct volcano, over andaround which the arriving visitors had to drive.
