NSW: Western Sydney gets new $12 million court

The New South Wales governmnet's opened a new 12 million dollar court in Sydney's west.

Attorney General BOB DEBUS says the new Mount Druitt Court .. which consists of two
courtrooms .. will ensure crime is dealt with swiftly in the area.

He says it's a modern .. fast growing and multicultural community .. which now has
a truly modern courthouse.

The court will be monitored by closed circuit TV cameras .. and an audio visual link
to allow dangerous prisoners and defendants to take part in court proceedings while in
custody.

It'll also allow witnesses and victims of crimes .. such as sexual assault .. to give
evidence from a remote room within the complex.
